Pea Protein Powder Reviews
Love. Staple in our house. I use with chia seeds and somtetimes BCAAs to get my full protein.
I really wanted to love the Naked Pea. The taste can be masked with other elements in the shake but no matter what I try, the texture is horribly chalky. I have tried other pea proteins in the past and none of them had this powdered texture. It’s unfortunate given the price point.
I LOVE LOVE this protein. its smooth, price point excellent and highest vegan protein powder I have found. I couldnt give this a 5 though due to the packaging. I weight train, my partner is a contractor, we are strong people and it takes BOTH US to open this! Ive bought 2 times now and both packaging was the same. Please please use less mechanical force Naked so that I can open this on my own. If I was on my own, I wouldnt be able to get into it/use it and would have been 0 rating
Good product!
Great product with good taste !!!
I love the size of the tub and good value for my money, however the flavor is very bland for chocolate. I feel like I will have to mix things in to make it more palatable.
Not sure if it’s my blender or what but this always feel grainy going down. Taste is tolerable though. And you can never go wrong with Naked’s ingredients.
I ordered the Chocolate and Vanilla pea protein powders. I find both of them tasty and would honestly love them IF I knew for certain what I was getting. When I originally ordered the Vanilla was listed as having 17 grams of protein. When it finally arrived the packaging said it had 25 grams of protein. I emailed the company for clarification and heard back one time with this incredibly canned response:
"All of our protein products are now evaluated using the Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) method, which assesses both the quality and digestibility of the protein. Previously, protein content was determined using nitrogen testing, which measures total protein based solely on nitrogen levels in the powder. Under the PDCAAS testing method, vegan protein powders have protein levels that are lower than those of animal-source protein powders due to the differences in quality and digestibility of the underlying protein sources."
While interesting I guess, that answer does not in fact, tell me the amount of protein that's in the protein powder. So I emailed again...and again...and again and nearly a month later I still have not heard back. They have now changed the protein content on the website to reflect the protein content on the packaging (25 grams). To be clear, I loved the taste of the powder and would have been happy with the product either way, 17 grams is fine, 25 grams is better! But it's the lack of transparency that made me cancel my subscription. For a company whose slogan is "nutrition with nothing to hide" it definitely feels like they're hiding something. They've lost my trust and I'm sad to say I cannot reorder because frankly I don't know what I'm getting, and what else they're hiding.
Great product that works well with everything from smoothies to plain water. I even add it to my morning oatmeal!
It could be flavored the way you like it and you get the nutrients you need for the day with 10 oz !
